The American Century is known around the world for technological and economic advances that increased length and quality of life for all of humanity.  It was defined by the ideas that we are all created equal, that the government derives its just powers only from the consent of the governed, and that economic decisions are best made by free, fair, open markets.  The American Century saw global human life expectancy increase by almost 2.5 times, and saw the largest reduction in poverty, hunger, and untreated disease ever recorded.  It was the greatest growth of shared prosperity in all of human history.
