PRINCIPAL 6: Regulations must be limited, simple, fair, and affordable.
Regulations should be as limited as possible in number and scope.
Regulations must not favor entrenched interests over innovators, upstarts, and competitors.
Regulations should never be adopted to protect existing businesses from competition.
Regulations should be predictable.
Complexity in regulations unfairly advantages entrenched interests and dis-incentivizes innovation and competition.
Government must not over-regulate in an attempt to eliminate all risk.
