Carr Joins Two-Time Former Attorney General Bill Barr In Leading The American Free Enterprise Chamber Of Commerce’s Legal Arm

Today, the Center for Legal Action, a project of the American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (AmFree Chamber), announced Machalagh Carr as President. Carr joins the Center for Legal Action’s leadership team alongside two-time former Attorney General Bill Barr.
Carr most recently served as Chief of Staff to Speaker Kevin McCarthy. She previously served as McCarthy’s General Counsel in both his Speaker and Minority Leader Offices. In both the private and public sector, Carr has spent almost 20 years finding solutions to some of the most complex legal and political challenges. Her dozen years of Capitol Hill experience includes serving in senior staff roles on three committees, including the Commit- tee on Ways and Means.
In her new role as President of the Center for Legal Action, Carr will lead the group’s legal strategy and business operations. She will advise member companies on how to navigate today’s thorniest legal and regulatory issues.

The Center for Legal Action was launched earlier this year to fight back against the excessive expansion of federal regulations and mandates that only raise costs and eliminate jobs while restricting basic freedoms and of individuals and businesses alike.
